Teh Update

Sooo.  Finally got my computer back up and running and 1/3 of my stuff moved and set up (almost all of *MY* personal stuff, but that still leaves 2/3 of a 2 bedroom apartment to fit into one room ><).

That being said, it's so nice to have my stuff back.  And since I've got my comp set up...and more of the mess taken care of than not....my writing update.

Regrettably, my gaming days are done for the duration of my life at my mother's.  The only internet she can get now or ever is satellite.  (Long story short, she lives on a country highway.  The crossroads between town on either side have cable.....towns in either direction have cable...but there are so few homes along the stretch of highway between they don't want to spend the money to run cable and Charter refuses to sell the rights.  Ergo, the only available internet out here is satellite or dialup, and neither work for gaming.)  I guess I'll go back to my roots of being a console gamer, although I will miss MMOs a great deal.

Sooo I guess once everything gets moved and I'm settled in here (like within a couple weeks or so), I'll probably pick up my virtual pen again (in a far more consistent fashion) and bludgeon y'all with fic stuff.

I am still interested in doing a colab with someone too if anyone might want to get on board with that (including the people I've batted the idea around with in the past).  ^^

You sound like you're doing a little better since the last time I heard from ya.

Bittersweet situation you've found yourself in. Yay for updates and collabs, boo for no gaming. :\

Have you considered storage for the things that won't fit in your room? I have a friend that uses storage and its fairly cheap...

Yeah, getting by I suppose, although I miss my gaming.

Ah, I don't need to get a storage room, my mother has a barn I can store stuff in. Not ideal, but it is free. >.< There's that at least.

Despite the lack of MMORPG-compatible internet, it sounds like things are getting better, or at least settling down a bit? I hope so, at least, for your sake. <3

Mm, still some ups and downs but I suppose they're settling to the 'good as I'm going to get" category. <3

I really will miss my games, though....I was the sort of hardcore, hours daily sort. >.

Hopefully things continue to improve, even if it's slowly or in small increments. It's the little things in life, ya? <3 And your current living situation is not forever...the games will still be out there when you move next. There'll probably even be something new and more awesome to pour your hours into. XD
